FACTS AND FIGURES UP TO AUGUST 2009
  • A total of 633 places from 152 different schools have been booked on teachers’ workshops since 1997.
  • 129 teachers from 76 schools have taken part in the performing part of the project.
  • The remaining teachers who have not yet taken part in the performing part of the project will have used the skills learnt at the workshops in the classroom with an indirect effect on another 15,120 Key Stage 2 children (taking the average class size to be 30).
  • 1,843 children have taken part in the performing part of the project.
  • Over 17,199 family and community members have watched children’s performances.
  • 11,832 free Norwich Theatre Royal tickets have been given to participating children and teachers.
  • In Norfolk there are 22,785 Key Stage 2 children attending 274 schools. These figures are for 8-11 year olds only. This does not include numbers for Year 3.
